The State of Israel Bonds Organization was founded in 1951. Its purpose was to sell securities issued by the government of Israel in order to finance the fledgling Israeli economy. The organization continues to this day funding, strengthening, and modernizing the Israeli infrastructure. Locally the State of Israel Bonds' office opened in Indianapolis in 1951 and closed in 2005.
